At the end of the summer term, 25 St Richard's Year 10 pupils organized a school raffle to raise funds for The Sara Lee Trust and The Willow Tree Children's Charity.
The group - known as ‘Student Listeners’ - are student volunteers who mentor Year 7 pupils, helping them adjust to secondary school life as trusted buddies.
Eager to give back to their local community, the team sold raffle tickets during break and lunch times for a chance to win fantastic prizes, including an Amazon Echo Dot, a JBL Bluetooth speaker, and a £50 voucher kindly donated by Bentley's Steakhouse.
Delighted with the outcome, the students proudly presented £425 to the two charities this term.
