Tapestry opens its Lewes office to local families for free half-term play event

Families looking for something to do with their little ones this October half term can enjoy a free play event at the Lewes office of childhood education platform Tapestry. The local business is teaming up with Pop Up Play Village to host two Pop Up Stay & Play sessions on Thursday 29 October. Children aged two and over will be able to explore an imaginative role-play village where they can become anything from café owners to vets, from construction workers to caring for babies.

The sessions will take place at Tapestry’s offices at 65 High Street, Lewes, from 9.30am to 10.45am and 11am to 12.15pm. Places are limited to 18 children per session and parents and carers are asked to stay with their children throughout the session. Places can be booked online at: https://tapestrycep.typeform.com/to/tX7qHzDE

Dr Helen Edwards, co-founder of Tapestry and former owner of Lewes-based Fiddlesticks nursery, said: “As an education business which believes in the power of play, we are really looking forward to hosting these events with Pop Up Play Village. We’re excited to welcome local families to our Lewes office and to give children the opportunity to explore, get creative and enjoy the benefits of play.”

Pop Up Play Village is a mobile role-play village designed to inspire imagination, creativity and learning through play. Children can follow their interests, move freely between the play areas, explore resources and interact with others at their own pace.

Becky Hoare, Founder and Director of Pop Up Play Village said: “We’re delighted to be working with Tapestry to share our passion for learning through play with local families. Imaginative, child-led play gives children the freedom to explore their interests, develop new skills and build confidence, all while having fun. We can’t wait to see the children enjoying our village.”

Children attending the event will also receive free resources provided by education supplier YPO and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to take home.
