Barratt David Wilson Homes helped to bring families together this autumn by supporting a community scarecrow trail near Arundel, which raised money for a local primary school.

The Slindon Scarecrow Trail invited residents to explore the local area during the October half-term holidays, while searching for creatively designed scarecrows. Families could take part in the ‘straw-some’ trail for a small fee and were asked to vote for their favourite.
Trail tickets included a free hot chocolate and small prize for children, and adults were entered into a raffle featuring prizes donated by local businesses.
A launch event was held at The Forge Field, featuring a range of games, stalls, food and drink, and a raffle. All proceeds from the event will go directly to Slindon Church of England Primary School.
Barratt David Wilson is committed to supporting the communities in which it builds and donated a luxury hamper for the raffle.
Megan Hamlyn, Marketing Manager at Barratt David Wilson Homes, said: "We were delighted to support the Slindon Scarecrow Trail and help raise money for Slindon Primary. Community events like this bring people together, provide a fantastic day out for families, and raise valuable funds. We’re pleased to have played our part."
Claire Webb, Slindon resident and event organiser, said: "This was the first time we organised a scarecrow trail for the local community, and we are incredibly grateful for the support we received from local organisations. Thank you to Barratt David Wilson for its fabulous raffle donation, and for helping us raise money for our local primary school."
Barratt David Wilson Homes is currently bringing new homes to Arundel at its Sylvan Meadows development.
