Fresh Egg is one of 71 B Corps identified across Sussex, spanning digital services, food and drink, manufacturing, retail and professional services. Fresh Egg’s directory review identified 11 B Corps in Worthing and Adur, accounting for 41% of the 27 West Sussex businesses identified.

East Sussex, including Brighton and Hove, accounted for 62% of the Sussex B Corps identified, compared with 38% in West Sussex. For wider context, B Lab UK’s regional distribution map, marked 2025, records 330 B Corps in the South East, making it the third-highest regional total shown after London and the South West.

Certification gives Fresh Egg a rigorous benchmark for measuring and strengthening three long-standing priorities: better digital, better business and better community.

Adam Stafford, CEO of Fresh Egg, said: “We’re proud to be a digital business, and we think carefully about creating experiences that are accessible and perform efficiently. Certification is a milestone for us, but we want to keep building on that progress, sharing what we learn along the way and finding practical ways to make better decisions for our clients, our people and the communities around us.”

Fresh Egg launched CharityWise in January 2024 as a free digital marketing knowledge hub. By September 2026, CharityWise had supported 1,419 charities and not-for-profit organisations. So far, 1,771 charity professionals have accessed its training and guidance, with more than 34,000 templates, guides and tools downloaded.

Stafford added: “Fresh Egg has always been part of the digital community here in Worthing. Becoming a B Corp gives us an opportunity to think more deliberately about the contribution we make beyond our client work. We want to use the digital expertise we have built to support organisations and communities that can put it to use, while continuing to improve the way we operate as a business.” Fresh Egg partnered with Brighton-based sustainability consultancy BOXLESS as part of their Year of Change programme, designed to help organisations develop policies, practices and a culture that support lasting change. Mica Janiv, B Corp Lead at BOXLESS, said: “As a digital agency, it's easy to assume your impact stops at the screen. Fresh Egg has looked up from the desk at the bigger picture, the real place they work in and their part in protecting it. They're already a year ahead on their climate reporting, which shows the discipline and enthusiasm they bring to this work.”

Fresh Egg’s work brings together audience insight, technology and human judgement to create what it calls Intelligent Experiences: digital services designed to work for both users and organisations. Its approach considers accessibility, page weight, data collection, technology choices, environmental impact and ethical use of artificial intelligence alongside commercial performance and user needs. Following a redesign and rebuild by Fresh Egg, pet insurer Agria’s website recorded an estimated 59% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions per page, based on measurements taken before and after the new website went live.

Fresh Egg is now part of a UK community of more than 3,000 B Corps. Certified B Corporations are verified by B Lab against standards for social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.

Chris Turner, CEO of B Lab UK, said: “We are pleased to have B Corps of all shapes and sizes as part of our community, from start-ups to multinationals and across many different industries. Business is a powerful force and B Corps demonstrate that positive impact is possible in any sector.

“Welcoming Fresh Egg is an exciting moment for the website optimisation industry. B Lab UK and the rest of the B Corp community are really pleased that Fresh Egg is paving the way for a new way of doing things.”
