British Heart Foundation says ‘huge heartfelt thank you’ to supporters ahead of Uckfield shop closure
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) says its Uckfield shop is set to close later this year.
The charity confirmed the closure to this newspaper after photos appeared on social media showing a notice in the High Street shop’s window saying it would shut its doors permanently.

Angie Vidler, regional manager at British Heart Foundation, said: “We would like to say a huge heartfelt thank you to everyone in Uckfield who has supported our shop over the years and helped us raise vital funds for cardiovascular research. The shop will close on December 12.
“Our shop has been so much more than a place to shop. It has been a valued part of the local community, providing a place for people to volunteer, generously donate and for our lovely loyal customers to shop. They’ve all helped make a real difference.
“We are enormously grateful for the support we have received and while our shop will close soon, we hope everyone will continue supporting the British Heart Foundation by shopping, donating or volunteering in our other shops. With lots of great finds still available, you can still pick up a bargain and help us fund research.”
