The Anchor announced its reopening on Facebook, sharing photos of the bar, seating areas and new darts lanes. The pictures show red banquette seating, framed football posters and two illuminated dartboards – alongside the existing shuffleboard tables.

The pub also shared a picture of its Market Square frontage lit up after dark.

“The wait is over and the new-look Anchor is ready to welcome you!” the pub team said.

“After weeks of hard work behind the scenes, Kevin and the team are delighted to be back, with a fantastic fresh look, two brand-new smart darts lanes, shuffleboard and plenty of live sport.”

The pub continues to serve food and drink, with menus for customers stopping in for lunch, meeting colleagues for a drink or getting together with friends and family at the weekend. Live sport remains part of the offering, with coverage on Sky Sports and TNT Sports.

Customers can browse menus and book through the Greene King app. Opening times and booking information are also available on The Anchor’s website.
