Pictures show Worthing's new Pret a Manger branch looks almost ready to open

A second branch of a national sandwich chain in Worthing looks to be nearly complete.

The frontage and signage for Pret a Manger at the BP petrol station in Brighton Road, Worthing, looks to be finished.

We revealed last month how Worthing was to get a second branch of the popular chain, after it opened its first store in our town centre last year.

Previously, owners of the petrol station Motor Fuel Group (MFG), had plans approved to extend the existing sales building to accommodate a new 'food-to-go', including a drive-thru, the removal of car wash, the provision of two jet washes and relocated car care bay, reconfiguration of car parking, a new bin store and associated works.

A spokesperson for MFG said at the time: "We are always investing in our forecourts to serve the communities in which we operate. We look forward to the opening of the new Pret a Manger in the near future.”

MFG have been asked for an update.
