Popular Hove café unveils stunning Parisian-inspired makeover
A popular Hove brunch café has unveiled a new look inspired by a Parisian orangery.
Oeuf, in Third Avenue, has undergone a major refurbishment after six years, introducing marble tables, plush seating, lush greenery and warmer lighting to create a more luxurious atmosphere.
The café closed on Monday (October 19) while work got underway, with the transformation revealed to guests at a celebration event on Friday evening (October 23), ahead of its official reopening on Saturday.
Owner Amber Bush said the makeover was about giving the much-loved venue a fresh lease of life while retaining everything that made it popular with customers.

She said: "After six years, things tend to get a little bit tired.
"We've had a really good run. I think Oeuf, as we know, is wonderful. However, I think a little bit of a refresh never goes amiss.
"We've made ourselves a little bit more cosy, sumptuous and indulgent."
As well as the new interiors, the café has expanded its drinks offering, with an improved wine list and a wider selection of champagnes.
Amber said: "We've made our wine list a whole lot better, and we've got loads of really nice champagnes on the menu, so people can pop in just for a drink and enjoy themselves."
Despite the changes, regular customers can expect to find the same brunch menu they know and love.
Amber said: "We have kept our core foundations. Our menu is the same.
"It's what people know and love."
She added that the biggest changes were to the atmosphere, with warmer colours, new lighting, comfortable chairs and marble tables.
The new design was inspired by the grandeur of an old Parisian orangery, with the aim of creating somewhere customers can relax, socialise and enjoy a glass of champagne.
Speaking at the celebration event, Amber said she had been overwhelmed by the positive response to the transformation.
She said: "I feel really overwhelmed by the support today.
"When you've been doing a build for however many days, you kind of think maybe it hasn't changed that much because you've been so immersed in it.
"But actually, everyone that's walked through the doors today has said that it looks incredible and how different it looks.
"I am really proud and happy. A massive weight off the shoulders."
Amber added that it was a relief to finally enjoy the finished space alongside customers.
Oeuf reopened to the public on Saturday, October 24, at 8 Third Avenue, Hove.
