One of our residents, Bonnie, is preparing to celebrate her 100th birthday, and we have set ourselves the goal of collecting 100 birthday cards to mark this incredible occasion (but we would love even more).

She has spent her entire life in East Sussex and remains proud of the Peacehaven community she now calls home. Throughout her life she worked in a baby shop, a role she loved as she has always had a special affection for babies and young children.

She was married to her beloved husband, Jack, who sadly passed away following a heart attack. Family has always been at the centre of her life. She is a devoted mother to her daughter Patricia and was also a proud mother to her son David, who sadly also passed away. She is grandmother to four grandchildren, and her children have always been the light of her life.

She has a lifelong love of nature and animals and has always enjoyed being around pets. One of her greatest passions has been knitting, a hobby she enjoyed for many years.

As she reaches this remarkable milestone, we would love to show her just how many people are thinking of her. We are therefore asking members of the public, local organisations, schools, community groups, businesses and anyone who would like to help to send a birthday card and help us reach our target of 100+ cards.

Receiving cards from across the community would mean the world to her and help make her 100th birthday a truly unforgettable occasion.
