Team behind new £2m Crawley attraction launch search for young 'fun experts' ahead of opening
A new indoor activity park at Crawley Leisure Park is looking for four children, to test its attractions, ahead of its official opening next month.
Oxygen Crawley, which is being created on the first floor of the former Nuffield Health site, is recruiting children aged between six and 12 to join its first ‘children’s suite’, and give the new venue their seal of approval.
The park is due to open on Friday, October 16, following an investment of more than £2 million.
The four successful applicants will each take on a different role, testing the park before it opens to the public.

The roles are chief memories officer, chief fun officer, chief tricks officer and chief play officer.
Their responsibilities will include trying out the park’s trampolines, slides, games, play areas and party experiences, while providing feedback on whether the venue delivers the ‘big-time fun’ promised by Oxygen.
The children will be invited to a pre-opening inspection on Friday, October 9, when they will be among the first people to experience the new attraction.
They will be provided with high-visibility vests and hard hats for the inspection, with cameras also capturing the experience.

The successful recruits will also receive invitations to Oxygen Crawley’s VIP party, a year’s annual membership and a written reference to mark their time in the children’s suite.
Oxygen is looking for children who are outgoing, creative, confident and comfortable on camera, with a passion for having fun.
There is no requirement for previous experience, with applicants instead asked to explain why they would be suited to their chosen role.
Parents or guardians can apply by sending a video of their child, explaining which role they would like to take on – and why they are the perfect candidate – to the Oxygen Crawley Facebook page .

The deadline for applications is 11.59pm on Sunday, September 27.
Stephen Wilson, chief executive officer of Oxygen Activeplay, said: “We have designed Oxygen Crawley to be a place where kids can jump, play, slide, explore and have an amazing time, so who better to tell us whether we have got it right than kids themselves?
“We are looking for four big personalities with even bigger imaginations and a serious passion for big-time fun.
"I cannot wait to see who makes it onto the C-Suite and, most importantly, hear whether they give us the all-important kid-approved seal of approval.”
Peta Young, people director at Oxygen Activeplay, said being a member of the C-Suite is ‘no ordinary job’.
She added: “We are looking for kids who are confident, creative, energetic and full of ideas.
“This is their chance to be among the very first people to experience Oxygen Crawley and have their say before we open to the public. We are expecting some seriously impressive applications, and we cannot wait to see who steps up to the challenge.”
Oxygen Crawley will feature more than 40 trampolines, a giant airbag, two slides and a range of interactive games and activities.
The venue will also include an interactive sports pitch, an interactive strike zone and an I-wall, as well as the first interactive pixel floor at an Oxygen venue.
A dedicated toddler soft play area, SEN peaceful play sessions, an on-site café and birthday party packages will also be available.
Families can now book visits to Oxygen Crawley ahead of its opening on October 16.
More information and bookings are available on the Oxygen Crawley website or through the venue’s Facebook page .
