A Hastings mum and daughter have made the finals of UK Small Business Awards.

Samantha and Paula Greenhalf, who run the The Cleaning Trolls, have been named national finalists in Best Cleaning Business and Best Family Business categories.

A UK Small Business Awards spokesperson said: "What makes the achievement all the more impressive is how quickly the business has established itself.

"Despite being a young, newly launched enterprise, the pair set out from day one to shake up the local cleaning scene.

"Beyond transparent fixed pricing, they went above and beyond standard checks by securing full professional compliance - including ICO data protection registration, an official waste carrier licence, and comprehensive health and safety certifications."

Samantha and Paula said in a joint statement: "When we decided to set up The Cleaning Trolls, we knew we wanted to build something a bit different to the traditional cleaning company.

"As a new business, we wanted to offer complete peace of mind right from the start, but at the heart of it all, we just love meeting lovely local people and taking the daily stress out of managing a home.

"To find out we are national finalists for both Best Cleaning Business and Best Family Business so early in our journey is mind-blowing, and we are so grateful to every client who supports us." The awards spokesperson added: “The standard of entries this year has been incredibly high. Each finalist has demonstrated an exceptional level of dedication and achievement, representing the very best of UK small businesses.” The winners will be announced at a ceremony on December 19 in Birmingham.
