The Range opens doors to new branch in Newhaven

Following weeks of preparation by the shop fit and store teams, the full transformation of the former Roche Diagnostics site at The Drove in Newhaven is now complete, and the store began serving its first customers this morning.

The new branch in Newhaven has created 80 jobs for the local area, covering full and part-time roles in Store Management, Retail Assistants and Warehouse staff.

A spokesman for The Range said: “This boost to the local economy, during such testing times for the retail sector, is welcome positive news for area.”

The new store is spread across two floors and provides a wide selection of products across 18 departments, from Home Décor to Arts & Crafts and Cleaning to Petcare.

There is also a large garden centre offering products for creating a colourful outdoor space including plants, paving and water features.

The outdoor living section of the store has a selection of products to finish off the look, including outdoor dining sets, barbeques, and garden toys.

The in-store Iceland provides products from well-known brands such as Greggs and Slimming World, to usual essentials like milk, bread and fresh veg.

The spokesman said: “With exclusive offers running in-store until 20th June, there are so many reasons to visit.

“In line with government guidelines, measures are in-place to make it safe for staff and customers.

“These include social distancing markers to help people stay a safe distance apart, sanitising stations at the entrance and contactless card payment where possible.”

The new store is open 8am to 8pm Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
