Mid Sussex pub to receive six-figure makeover
The Star Inn, an historic pub in Felbridge, West Sussex, is set to reopen with an improved look and feel following a six-figure investment.
Located on London Road, just outside East Grinstead, the much-loved Star Inn has been a staple hub in the village of Felbridge for centuries.
The Chef & Brewer pub, part of pub company and brewer Greene King, will temporarily close to the public from November 2 while renovation works take place, with the new and improved venue set to reopen its doors at the start of December.
The investment will deliver improvements both inside and out, preserving the pub’s unique character whilst offering a range of modern comforts.

Key features will include an updated interior layout, creating a welcoming and comfortable space for both dining and drinking occasions. The pub’s décor, lighting and furniture will be updated throughout.
Outside, The Star Inn’s beer garden will be enhanced with comfortable new lighting, furniture and additional seating, ensuring the ideal spot for alfresco refreshments throughout the year. The building’s façade will be refreshed and upgraded signage will be installed to help boost the pub’s kerbside appeal.
There are multiple job opportunities as The Star Inn is currently hiring new team members.
Guests can browse menus and book their festive celebrations ahead of the pub’s reopening via the Greene King app.
