Eastbourne College reassures families about future of St Andrew's Prep School after it was listed for sale
Eastbourne College has reassured pupils of St Andrew’s Prep School and their families about its future after the site was listed for sale.
The 11.6 acre site in Meads Street is on the market through property consultants Vail Williams.
Two masterplan options are proposed for the site’s sale – the development of 151 residential units, or the development of 105 residential units and a 65-bedroom care home.
Eastbourne College, partnered with St Andrew’s, has since posted on social media to introduce ECI310 – a project that will see St Andrew’s relocate to the college’s Old Wish Road campus by 2029.
A spokesperson for the college said: “For our pupils and families, this is a vision built on continuity and confidence.
“St Andrew's Prep will retain its unique character, its own spaces and everything that makes it special while gaining further access to the College's inspiring campus.
“Together, we will become the only provider of an all-through independent education in Eastbourne on a single campus.”
