Mayfield, nestled in the heart of the Sussex countryside, is renowned for its picturesque landscapes, historic architecture, and tight-knit community. However, this idyllic façade hides a significant modern-day inconvenience: the near-total absence of reliable mobile phone service. The village, identifiable by the postcode TN20 6BW, offers only limited voice signal with the mobile operator O2. For those subscribed to Vodafone, Three, and EE, the situation is even more dire, with no service available at all.

The Reality of Living in Mayfield

For Mayfield’s residents, the poor mobile connectivity is a daily struggle. Basic tasks that many take for granted, such as making a phone call, sending a text, or accessing the internet are almost out of reach. Local businesses are also faced with this issue, struggling to maintain communication with customers and suppliers, which comes in the way of their operations.
