Appeal for missing man believed to be in Bognor Regis

A POLICE appeal has been made for help in finding a missing man thought to have links with Bognor Regis.

Detectives from Thames Valley Police would like to trace Ian James. The 45-year-old was last seen at his home in Upper Campsfield Road, Woodstock, about 10.30pm on Sunday, March 18.

It is believed he drove away in his vehicle, a blue VW Transporter panel van registration number RE11 BYZ.

He could be in the Oxford area or Bognor, where he is thought to have connections.

Sergeant Richard Miller said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Ian’s welfare as it is out of character for him to go missing.

“We have reason to believe that he has been feeling down recently.

“We need to locate Ian as soon as possible, or for him to get in touch, so that we can check on his welfare.

“We are asking the public to keep an eye out for Ian’s vehicle or anyone matching his description and contact us as soon as possible if they think they have information about his whereabouts.”

Ian is white, 5ft 8-9ins tall, stocky, with dark greying short hair. He is clean shaven. When he was last seen, he was wearing blue jeans, a blue and green T-shirt with horizontal stripes and white trainers.

He has a distinctive tattoo on the top of his right arm. It shows a band with the names Chloe, Katie, Billie and Ellie.

Anyone with information about Ian is asked to contact Thames Valley Police on 101.
