Bodiam

Geoffrey Goodsell, 13 Levetts Lane

What a service was had for Vera Sims at the Hastings Crematorium, conducted by Gordon our vicar. There was a very good tribute by Graham and the music was Over the Rainbow by Eva Cassidy, who died so young of cancer, as we went into the crematorium. Bodiam has lost a good lady and I and many others will not forget Vera. Also we must not forget Tracy who needs support after the loss, perhaps more now, and I hope she will get it. Levetts Lane did a door to door collection for Vera and the total was £245 and some of it went for flowers and a donation to Cancer Research. A thank you to David, Janet and Gaye who did the collections.

Bodiam village cricket club dinner takes place at the Red Lion at Brede on November 23. The AGM takes place at 7.30pm at Netherfield on November 27. For any other information phone Karen, the honorary secretary on 01424 436523.
