They were guests at Pets at Home in Burgess Hill.

The 7th Burgess Hill St Andrew’s Cubs Group were the first to meet the store’s small animals, fish and reptiles. The store team also treated the children to a series of exclusive pet care workshops, a chance to learn more about what pets eat, where they sleep and their healthcare needs.

David Bowyer, Cub Scout leader, said: “We’re very grateful to Pets at Home colleagues for inviting us to be the first local youth group to visit the new store. Our cubs had a fantastic time learning all about the animals and finding out more about the different needs of different pets.”

Deputy Mayor of Burgess Hill Anne Jones officially opened the new store recently.

Pets at Home in Burgess Hill is home to an Adoption Centre, where pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and other small animals are cared for until a new loving home can be found.
