CCTV captures helicopter landing on pitch at Burgess Hill Cricket Club
An air ambulance helicopter was captured by CCTV as it landed on Burgess Hill Cricket Club’s pitch at about 11.52pm on Tuesday night (May 18).
Local resident and Burgess Hill CC groundsman Phil Wickwar said: “I was woken up by it flying low over my house so checked the footage from the CCTV at the groundsman hut.”
Richard Airey from South East Coast Ambulance Service said: “The air ambulance landed to assist us at a call to a nearby private address.”
However, he said he could not comment further because of patient confidentiality.
