Crawley schools set to close as teachers strike

Schools across town have announced they will be closing during strike action by two teaching unions.

Members of NUT and NASUWT will strike on Thursday (October 17) over pay, pensions and workloads.

At secondary level, Thomas Bennett Community College will be closed.

Ifield Community College, Hazelwick School, Holy Trinity School and Oakwood School, in Horley, will be closed to pupils in Years 7-10.

St Wilfrid’s School and Oriel High School will be closed to all years except Years 7 and 11.

At primary level, West Green Primary, Southgate Primary and Broadfield East Infants and Nursery will be closed.

At Northgate Primary, Plum, Apple, Lime, Holly, Maple, Ash, Oak, Aspen and Juniper classes will be closed.

At Three Bridges Infants, Mulberry, Cherry, Chestnut, Holly, Pine, Maple, Beech, Oak, Sycamore, Cedar and Larch classes will be closed.

At the Mill Primary, Mulberry, Apple, Ash, Beech, Sycamore, Rowan and Pear classes will be closed.

And at Gossops Green Primary, classes 3/4SH, 3/4TW, 3/4VR, 1/2AJ, 1/2VW, RRN, RCR will be closed. Classes 5/6KR, 5/6WL, 5/6SM, 5/6KRo, 5/6SC, 3/4BB, 3/4SQ, 1/2DM, 1/2MB, 1/2FM and RSM will be open.
