Free electric blanket testing in Horsham
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service are offering free electric blanket testing until 4.30pm in Horsham today (October 30).
This comes after a house fire was caused by an electric blanket yesterday evening.
Fire crews from Horsham were called to Great Lime Kilns around 8.30pm on October 29.
An electric blanket and mattress had caught fire, but were out when they arrived.
Firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to make sure the fire was out.
