Some of the finest local suppliers could be found at the Weddings and Occasion Fayre, organised by our sister lifestyle magazine etc, which was held at the Hilton Avisford Hotel on October 20 where couples could find creative and often bespoke ideas for their special occasion.

They were also able to sit back and enjoy a fashion show, giving them ideas for their own wedding.

“The fashion shows were really popular and we had a lot of brides asking after particular dresses afterwards so it’s nice to think we might have had a little hand in helping make a couples big day truly special.

“A highlight of the event were the two fashion shows sponsored by RTFJ Jewellers which were exceptionally popular with visitors looking to find that perfect dress or outfit.

Bridal and occasion wear were supplied by Brides of Sussex who run a bridal house in Bognor Regis, as well as Worthing-based bespoke bridal and occasion wear company Velvet Birdcage and bespoke bridal and occasion wear designer and dressmaker Ceris Davies of Horsham.

“The models had their hair styled by Vikki of Chichester-based salon Obsession 4 Hair, and make up was provided by make up artist Angela Cox of Horsham. The gentleman models graced the catwalk in suits provided by Andrew McDowell Ltd, a Chichester-based shop, and the child bridesmaids were dressed by Eliza Mabel who offer stunning bespoke accessories for children. “There to capture some of the great moments of the day were Picture Perfect Moments photography.”

The enthusiastic organiser expressed her gratitude to all those who helped on the big day and said she hoped these who can along had a wonderful day.

“The wedding fayres are there to really help brides and grooms get ideas to they can make their special day as wonderful as it can be,” she said.

“We want to help them in anyway we can, and I hope we did just that.”

The event runs twice a year with the next one planned for March/April 2014.
