A meeting has been held to consider how this village might mark the anniversary of the start of the First World War in which 11 men from what was then a small community lost their lives.Several ideas are being discussed. However about 92 years ago those in Icklesham who had lost family ,friends and neighbours worked together and built the Memorial Hall. Sadly their effort is sometimes forgotten and many wrongly call it the “village hall”.
