TONIGHT in the village hall, the Iden and District Natural History Society will continue its series of Winter Lectures with a talk by Mr. David Fletcher about British Wildlife. This will be an illustrated lecture and visitors will be very welcome. The charge is a modest £3 per person. The meeting begins at 7.30 pm in the village hall.

On Monday 11th November there will be the very popular Pop - inn Coffee Morning to coincide with the visit of the Mobile Library. Coffee is from 11 am to 1.30 pm. The library comes from 12.10 to 12 50 pm.

Nobody has said anything, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the two minutes’ Silence is observed at 11 am.

The Iden and Playden Garden Society begins the series of Winter Talks on Monday 11th November at 7.30 pm in the village hall. Dr. M. Lynn will be making a welcome return visit to talk on “Gardening for Wildlife.”

Iden W. I. will be meeting on Tuesday 12th November at 7.30 pm in the village hall. This will be the Annual General Meeting.

Last Friday a very noisy, fun evening raised lots of money for the Goat Sanctuary. Huge thanks are given by Pauline and Robin for all the help and support, especially from John, Mandy, Paul, Ray and Ann. It was all immensely enjoyed by all who took part and a wonderful £428.49 was raised. Don’t ask who was short of a penny !!

There will be service of Parish Communion at 9.30 am on Sunday, the third before Advent.
