Next Friday, 8th November, the Iden and District Natural History Society will continue its programme of Winter Lectures with a talk by Mr. David Fletcher on British Wildlife. This will be an illustrated talk. Visitors will be made very welcome. They will be asked to contribute £3 as an entry fee.

The next Parish Council meeting will be on Tuesday 5th November at 7.30 pm in the village hall. Hope it won’t be too explosive ! The local councillors will be attending and there is an item for you to raise any relevant issues on current planning applications.

The Iden and Playden Garden Society begins the series of winter talks on Monday 11th November at 7.30 pm in the village hall. Dr. M. Lynn will be making a welcome return to talk about “Gardening for Wildlife.”

Mid week services are suspended for the time being, due to the illness of the vicar, Rev. Teresa Munro. We send our best wishes and hope that she will be feeling better soon.

There will be a service of Parish Communion at 9.30 am.
