Mr Smytherman was invited after a recent visit to the club, in which members evaluated his public speaking.

He said: “You will be guaranteed a warm welcomed, you will be guaranteed a structured evening, and I can almost guarantee that after your first occasion, you will be more confident in speaking in public.”

Vice president of PR Mandy Wallace added: “The event is held to take into the community what Worthing Speakers Club can offer.
