Bonmarche Horsham to Wear it Pink for charity

Bonmarche Horsham is hosting a fundraising day in support of Breast Cancer Campaign’s Wear It Pink, on Friday 25th October 2013.

We are also collecting any used bras from now until the end of October, a bin is available in store for them. These will then be sold for recycling and the money given to the charity.

Jamie McIntosh, Store Manager, says: “I can’t wait for our store’s Wear it Pink day this year. I always enjoy seeing how inventive and daring people get with their outfits.

“This is the sixth year that we will be supporting the event and I’m hoping that 2013 will be even bigger and better than before! It really is great to be able to raise money for an illness that affects so many people, especially our customers, and support their research.”

Fraklin Jacoyange, Corporate Account Manager at Breast Cancer Campaign said: “This October marks the eleventh anniversary of Breast Cancer Campaign’s annual, national fundraising event, Wear it Pink.

“We are so grateful once again to all of the staff at Bonmarche for taking part and we hope everyone has a great day and enjoying wearing it pink!

“Their support will allow us to continue funding vital breast cancer research which will help us get one step closer to beating breast cancer.”

Breast Cancer Campaign aims to beat breast cancer by funding innovative world-class research to understand how breast cancer develops, leading to improved diagnosis, treatment, prevention and cure.

Currently it support 95 research projects, worth over £16.4 million, in 31 centres of excellent across the UK and Ireland.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK and accounts for nearly one in three of all cancers in women. In the UK nearly 47, 700 new cases are diagnosed each year - that’s 130 a day.
