Peasmarsh

Mary Hitchins, 2 The Old Hop Gardens

Children at Peasmarsh Primary School have filled shoeboxes with Christmas presents for needy families in Romania, Moldova, Albania, Bulgaria and the Ukraine. Sue Cavilla, who collected the shoeboxes on behalf of the charity Link to Hope, said how pleased she was with the generous response to the appeal shown by the children, parents and staff and she thanked Mr McMillan, the headteacher for his support. These shoeboxes together with shoeboxes collected from around Peasmarsh, Playden School, Iden and Playden Church made a grand total of 66 shoeboxes. A very big thank you to all who made up a shoebox.
