Capybara sisters get into the Halloween spirit at Knockhatch Adventure Park

Three capybara sisters at Knockhatch Adventure Park have been getting into the Halloween spirit.

Dorothy, Cap-thrine and Mary all enjoyed some pumpkin at the Hailsham adventure park as the spooky season gets underway.

A spokesperson for Knockhatch said: “The capybara sisters may look like they're simply enjoying a giant autumn feast, but there's more to the pumpkin and bamboo stalks than meets the eye.

“As the world's largest rodents, their teeth never stop growing, so munching through tough bamboo helps keep them naturally trimmed.

“The oversized pumpkin is also a form of enrichment, challenging the trio to investigate, nibble and work out how to tackle their larger-than-life snacks.

“It's the perfect combination of fun, food and furry problem-solving, keeping the curious capybaras entertained while supporting their health and wellbeing.”

Knockhatch is hosting “Half Term Horrors” this week until Saturday (October 31) with a range of scare attractions for visitors to enjoy.
