Reader picture: Unusual white squirrel spotted in Gildredge Park, Eastbourne

I thought you might be interested in a lovely wildlife sighting from Gildredge Park in Eastbourne.

We’re currently visiting family in Eastbourne and were enjoying a walk through the park when my young son, Alex with his brother James spotted a beautiful white squirrel.

He was delighted to see it and managed to capture a fantastic photograph, which I’ve attached.

We believe it may be a rare albino squirrel, although we haven’t been able to confirm this.

I thought it might make a nice local-interest story, particularly for other residents and visitors who enjoy the park.
