Chichester among UK's most expensive wedding locations, new study finds
Chichester has been named among the most expensive cities in the UK to get married, according to a new study.
The study, by Premier Carriage Wedding Cars, compared wedding costs across 63 UK cities, examining six key expenses: venue hire, catering for 100 guests, wedding transport, photography, flowers and hotel accommodation.
Chichester recorded an estimated total wedding cost of £25,416, making it the fourth most expensive location in the ranking.
The findings highlighted the potential cost of getting married in the area, with Chichester featuring alongside London, Tunbridge Wells, St Albans and Winchester among the UK's priciest wedding destinations.

London topped the list, with an estimated wedding cost of £31,716 — more than £6,000 above Chichester's figure.
Tunbridge Wells ranked second at £26,901, followed by St Albans at £25,583.
At the other end of the scale, Newcastle upon Tyne was named the cheapest city in which to get married, with an estimated total of £15,385. That is £10,031 less than the figure recorded for Chichester.
Newport and Kingston upon Hull took second and third place among the cheapest locations, with estimated costs of £15,616 and £15,705 respectively.
The research assessed the cost of a wedding with catering for 100 guests, alongside photography, flowers, transport and accommodation, to compare the overall expense of celebrating across the country.
