1. Flynn - two-year-old Miniature Poodle cross
Having had a very sheltered start to life, Flynn will need patient adopters who can give him the time and kindness to build confidence slowly and safely. Behind his shy exterior is a lovely young dog just waiting to blossom, according to Dogs Trust. He can be nervous when meeting new people, so his new family should expect to keep visitors to a minimum at first while he settles. Flynn is an independent soul who enjoys choosing when to interact, making every little moment of trust feel extra special. He may not be interested in toys right now, but as his confidence grows there is every chance new hobbies and interests will emerge. Flynn is simply looking for patient adopters who will celebrate the small wins and enjoy watching him grow into himself. Photo: Dogs Trust

2. Dolly - five-year-old Dachshund
Dolly is looking for a calm, loving home where she can be someone's constant companion. Dogs Trust said life with Dolly is all about enjoying the simple things together. She's an easygoing girl who loves nothing more than spending time with her favourite people, happily taking life at a gentle pace. She's fully housetrained, settles beautifully in the car (usually snoozing the journey away) and in the evenings is content relaxing in her crate while still knowing her people are nearby. Dolly can sometimes find larger dogs a little overwhelming and isn't afraid to voice her opinion, and she's generally quite a chatty little character, which only adds to her charm, according to Dogs Trust. If you're looking for a loving, loyal companion who will fill your home with quiet affection, gentle companionship and plenty of personality, Dolly is ready to become your very best friend. 3. Angel - six-year-old Jack Russell
Angel is a bright, affectionate girl who is full of charming character. She loves nothing more than being close to her favourite people, happily following you from room to room before curling up beside you for a cosy cuddle on the sofa. She enjoys a good game of tug with squeaky soft toys and has the sweetest habit of burying herself under blankets and duvets. At bedtime, Angel enjoys being close to her family, often sleeping in the bedroom at night, comforted just by being close to her favourite people. She would love to be the only pet in the household and have a secure, private garden where she can relax and play without any worry. Photo: Dogs Trust

4. Poppy - 11-year-old Pomeranian
Poppy has a gentle, sensitive nature and is looking for a home with patient adopters who can give her lots of cuddles. She can sometimes find situations a little bit scary and overwhelming, so would benefit from a quiet home in an area without many dogs. Poppy is looking for a lovely retirement home; she enjoys being close to her people, happily soaking up fuss and affection, and she’s also very good at letting you know when she’s had enough by taking herself off for some quiet time. She would love to spend her golden years with a patient, loving family. On walks, she can nervous of strangers and some dogs, so would love a home with a garden where she can decompress and play with her favourite people. Photo: Dogs Trust
