Drivers warned of road closures in villages around Horsham

Drivers are being warned of upcoming road closures in a number of villages around Horsham.

West Sussex County Council says the closures – which will come into effect from October 28 – are necessary for road patching repair works.

Roads affected are the A272 Station Road in Cowfold; Friday Street in Rusper; Northlands Road in Warnham; the A283 Steyning Road at Wiston and Horn Lane in Woodmancote.

The council says that the roads are expected to shut for up to three days. A spokesperson said: “Temporary speed limits may be required in preparation for the works, during the works and inbetween phases of the works.

"The exact dates and duration of the works and the traffic management in each location will be confirmed in advance locally nearer the time.”

The council says that alternative routes will be indicated on site and access to properties on affected roads will be maintained.
