Eastbourne RNLI say 'final farewell' to former coxswain

The RNLI in Eastbourne will commemorate former coxswain and mechanic, who served in Eastbourne for 30 years.

An RNLI spokesperson said: “On Sunday, September 20 we will say our final farewell to our former coxswain and mechanic, Graham Cole — a man who dedicated over 30 years to assisting and saving lives in the seas off Eastbourne. “Honouring his last wishes, we will depart through the 9.30am lock and head out to Copper Shoal, his favourite fishing ground, where his ashes will be scattered from the Eastbourne lifeboat. He will be accompanied by many of his former crew, fellow fishermen, and the inshore lifeboat.
