Halloween 2026: Trick-or-treat map aims to help Horsham families
A Halloween map designed to help families find homes welcoming trick-or-treaters is hoping to attract more sign-ups in Horsham.
The free online map, available through the Trick or Treat website and app, allows residents to register their homes so children and parents can see which doors they can visit on October 31.
Founder Michelle Pearce-Burke created the map after becoming frustrated with the uncertainty of trick-or-treating, particularly not knowing which houses were happy to welcome visitors.
She said more than 200,000 families across the UK had joined since the map was launched last year.

However, she said more local families could sign up and make residents aware of the resource ahead of Halloween.
Michelle, who is a mum of three, said: “I built the map because I was frustrated with the awkward door knocking on Halloween and not being certain of the best places to go and whose door you could or couldn’t knock on.
“It’s just myself behind the map, no big team.”
Residents can add their homes to the map for free, helping families plan their trick-or-treating routes and giving householders the option to indicate when visitors can knock.
This year, the platform has also introduced a new virtual ghost hunt, giving families another activity to enjoy in the run-up to Halloween.
Michelle said: “Virtual ghosts hide in real world locations around the UK and families can collect them as a fun activity before Halloween or alongside trick or treating if they want to add some extra excitement and variation to the night that isn’t simply more sweets!”
Families and residents can visit the Trick or Treat website at www.trickortreatmap.com to explore the map and register their homes.
