All the latest team and injury news for Brighton and Hove Albion and across the Premier League
Brighton striker Stefanos Tzimas is making progress from his ACL injury.
The Greek attacker has not featured for almost a year since the injurysustained at the Amex Stadium against Aston Villa in December 2025.
Tzimas, who joined Brighton for around £22m in 2025, is currently training with the under-21s and hopes to join up with the first team squad next week.
Tzimas incredible mindset
"It's important that you can fully recover and get back on his highest level," said Albion head coach Fabian Hurzeler ahead of the Saturday's Premier League clash at Manchester City.
"We don't want to force things, we need to give him the time he needs, we have to be patient with him, but Stefano has an incredible mindset.
"He has the mindset from a winner and therefore we are looking forward to having him back in our squad."
Tzimas was just starting to show his best form for Brighton when injury struck. So far he has three goals and two assists from 12 first team appearances.
Hurzeler: important player
Hurzeler added: "I know that he's keen on doing this as quick as possible and we all know that he can be a really important player.
"He proved it before his injury, he proved it in a few games.
"There weren't a lot of minutes he played for us, but in his minutes he already showed that he can really help our team.
"So hopefully he can contribute to our performance as quickly as possible."
