Henfield prepares for annual Remembrance Sunday parade

Residents are invited to come together in Henfield this Sunday (November 8) for the village’s annual Remembrance Parade and services.

The parade will assemble at the War Memorial, opposite the George Hotel, before setting off at 9am, led by the Brighton and Hove City Brass Band.

Taking part will be veterans, local Scouts and Brownies, members of the Parish Council and representatives from the emergency services, alongside other community groups.

The parade will make its way to St Peter’s Church, where a Remembrance service will be held, before returning to the War Memorial at approximately 10.30am.

A further service will take place at the memorial, concluding with the playing of the Last Post and a two-minute silence to remember those who have lost their lives in conflict.

Adding to the village’s commemorations, the local Ladybirds group has once again decorated the Henfield Club with a wonderful display of crocheted poppies.
