Midhurst playpark to close for tree felling
A playpark in Midhurst will close while tree felling work takes place.
Midhurst Town Council confirmed Carron Lane Recreation Ground will close on Friday, September 11 due to a tree being felled within the fenced area of the playpark.
A spokesperson for the council said: “For your safety, please avoid the fenced area while the work is taking place.
“Thank you for your cooperation.”
The play area at the park is set to be transformed following the unveiling of plans as part of Midhurst Town Council’s summer 2026 notice.
The council says the ‘much-loved’ playground, which is more than 30 years old, is due for a major upgrade and will become a ‘modern, inclusive and inspiring space’ for children and families.
The new play area is set to feature swings, climbing equipment and interactive elements, with the council saying the designs will support ‘modern play’ among both younger and older children.
