Missing dog reunited with owner after being picked up by Hastings police officers

A missing dog was reunited with his owner after being found by Hastings Police, but not before he received ‘lots of cuddles’ from the officers on duty.

Alvin was reported missing on a ‘lost pets’ Facebook group on Saturday morning (December 17).

His worried owner explained that he’d last been seen at about 2am, though he was unaware that officers had already found Alvin and taken him safely back to the station.

A spokesperson for Hastings Police said: “Hastings officers from the Response Team came across this cutie wandering the streets at approximately 2am on Saturday morning after he decided to take himself for a walk.

“After lots of cuddles from me and my colleagues on the Neighbourhood Policing Team, I spotted a post on Facebook saying they were looking for ‘Alvin’ – our runaway.”

“Alvin was promptly returned to his owner, who was very relieved to have him home.”
