“As part of our continued work to prevent violence against women and girls, officers from Eastbourne's Licensing Team and Project Servator recently took part in specialist training aimed at supporting deployments in the night-time economy and targeting perpetrators.

“Based on the national Project Servator policing tactic, the training focused on providing officers who are regularly deployed in the night-time economy with the skills and knowledge to identify suspicious behaviour, safeguard vulnerable people and help keep communities safe.

“Officers from both the Licensing and Project Servator teams took part in realistic, scenario-based exercises designed to develop and strengthen those skills in a practical operational environment.

“A big thank you to the management team at Joy Bar, Bolton Road, Eastbourne, for allowing us access to their venue. Training in a real operational setting provided valuable opportunities to practise scenarios and tactics in a realistic environment rather than a classroom setting.”
