This beach is the most dog friendly in East Sussex according to new survey
Camber Sands has appeared at number five in a new list of the most dog friendly beaches in the UK.
The news comes following research carried out by Canine Cottages, who organise holidays by the sea for dog owners.
Figures show that 43% of dog owners say they struggle to find dog-friendly beaches when on holiday with their pooch.
With this in mind, the new study by Canine Cottages analysed UK beaches for various dog-friendly factors including proximity to car parks, dog-friendly activities, and positive reviews to reveal the UK’s most dog-friendly beaches.

If you and your dog dream of sand dunes and salty air, then Camber Sands has miles of it. Dogs are welcome year-round on Camber Sands. While some restrictions apply in designated zones between 1st May and 30th September, there’s still plenty of beach and dune space available for dogs and their owners to enjoy.
Canine Cottages add that the Owl in Camber is the perfect pub to stop off with your pooch for a bite to eat and a pint of local ale.
Commenting on the study Shannon Keary, Digital PR Manager at Canine Cottages said: “As the summer season nears, and temperatures start to pick up, many of us feel the call of the coast when it comes to holidays. When it comes to holidays many of us want to have our canine companions by our side, with 62% of our internal bookings coming from coastal retreats. We recently carried out our Traveller’s Tails survey which revealed that 43% of dog owners struggled to find dog-friendly beaches when on holiday.”
“With this in mind, we set out to conduct research to reveal some of the most dog-friendly across the UK encouraging more dog owners to explore the beautiful coastlines the UK has to offer.”

Taking the top spot in the UK for dog friendly beaches was Perranporth Beach in Cornwall
