Vegetation cut back along Selsey pathway as part of ongoing programme to maintain public spaces

Vegetation has been cut back along the pathway linking Manor Green Park and Chichester Road as part of an ongoing programme to maintain public spaces in Selsey.

Selsey Town Council said the work was carried out in September, following ecological guidance and after the end of the bird nesting season.

The maintenance has opened up the pathway, allowing more natural light onto the route and creating a wider passage for pedestrians travelling between Manor Green Park and Chichester Road.

The council said the timing of the work was intended to balance the upkeep of public spaces with consideration for local wildlife.

It added that regular maintenance helps keep Selsey's green spaces accessible and welcoming for residents and visitors, while respecting the area's natural environment.
