Vehicle rental company site in Chichester is approved
A vehicle rental company has been given approval for a site in Terminus Road, Chichester.
Enterprise Rent-A-Car UK Ltd applied for a premises, modular office, rental vehicle wash bay and associated works at 41 Terminus Road.
Officers at Chichester District Council said the site is a triangular shaped piece of land, of approximately 0.5 acres, on the intersection of Leigh Road (to the west) and Terminus Road (along its northern boundary).
"This area is comprised of predominantly commercial and larger scale leisure development, with Chichester Gate cinema and bowling complex to the east, and car retail, MOT sites and sites selling car parts,” they said.

“Armco barriers will be installed along the western boundary of the site, adjacent to the River Lavant. Drop bollards will be installed at the entrance to the site.
“Illuminated fascia boards to the office building and an illuminated advertising monument sign is proposed at the front of the site. The monument sign measures 4.5m in height and 0.9m in width.
“This has been negotiated during the course of the application and replaces the originally proposed sign at the front of the site which was considered to be of excessive scale. Two other smaller signs are proposed within the site.
"These elements are also being considered under application 26/01026/ADV for advertising consent which was submitted in tandem with this current application.
“The proposal is considered to be in accordance with local and national development plans and is acceptable.”
