A new reformer Pilates studio has opened in Midhurst, with Studio Co launching its latest branch on Rumbolds Hill.

Expanding from Oxted and Sevenoakes, founder and former dancer Daisy Dean told the Midhurst and Petworth Observer that she has been delighted with the welcome the studio has received.
“We opened on the 31st October, and it has gone really well. We have had nice full classes, and it has been so amazing to meet the people of Midhurst.”

The studio runs classes throughout the day, from a dynamic class on reformer machines at 7.30 am, all the way through beginner and fundamental classes during the day until the final 7.30 pm class of the evening.
Daisy said her small classes are ideal for everyone: “I truly, truly mean that. Whether you have a specific sport [you train for] or a static life because of your job, it's truly amazing.
Think of Pilates as a way of treating your body to moving every which way. Your spine can move in five different directions, but in your daily life you probably only move it in one direction – down. Pilates helps you find healthy movement patterns that will help your daily life.”
Occupying the former Carpets 1st building, Daisy said she wanted to challenge herself by building up a business in a new area, in a really beautiful area:
“I came to Midhurst and fell in love with it straight away – how could you not? I was umming and ahhing about it, but the wonderful person who owns this building is the person who twisted my arm.
“They called me up and said, ‘We really care about Midhurst; we would love to have your studio in this location. Would you consider it?’ I thought, ‘It’s a win-win situation; let’s go!’”
At the studio’s opening celebration event on 31st October, clients from Daisy’s other studios came to support her, whilst several locals popped in to say how much they had missed reformer Pilates when they moved to the town and how delighted they were to see a studio like this open on the high street.
Classes at Studio Co can be booked online or via the app.
