Super day for heroic children in Arundel

SUPERHEROES and heroines – both conventional and unorthodox – replaced pupils at a primary school in Arundel.

Children at the Arundel CE Primary School, in Jarvis Road, ditched their uniforms and transformed into their favourite superheroes to celebrate national Children’s Book Week, which finished on Friday.

The usual caped crusaders like Batman and Superman, were on show, as well as fictional vigilante Spiderman.

However, this year some of the youngsters plucked for some less conventional heroes, with eight-year-old Morgan Yates dressing as the UK’s first female Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher, and another pupil choosing to become famed nurse Florence Nightingale.
