Southern Rail: Train disruption continues in Sussex amid person's death
Trains between Brighton and Worthing are facing delays of up to 45 minutes, following a fatal incident on the railway line.
All lines between Brighton and Worthing have now reopened after emergency services completed their work.
However, Southern Rail has warned that disruption could continue until 7.30pm on Thursday (September 17), with trains potentially delayed, revised or cancelled while services return to normal.
Passengers have been advised to allow at least 30 minutes of additional travel time and check live departure boards before travelling.

Earlier, British Transport Police confirmed that a person had died, after being hit by a train near Southwick station.
A BTP spokesperson said officers were called to the area at around 2.15pm following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
Paramedics also attended, but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
Anyone affected by the incident can contact the Samaritans on 116 123 for free, confidential support.
Further train fault reported near Southampton
A separate train fault in the Fareham area caused additional disruption to services towards Southampton Central.
At 5.25pm, a rail operator warned on X that a train had developed a fault between Southampton Central and Fareham, blocking the line towards Fareham and Havant.
The operator subsequently confirmed at 5.50pm that all lines had reopened and trains could run through the area.
It said the disruption caused by the fault had ended and that no further trains would be affected by that incident.
Passengers travelling through the area were advised to check for any remaining disruption before setting off.
The Southern website states: “You may be entitled to compensation if you experience a delay in completing your journey today. Please keep your train ticket and make a note of your journey, as both will be required to support any claim.”
If compensated, passengers are invited to donate to the Samaritans.
