Southern Rail: Weekday off-peak services between London and Eastbourne temporarily cut
Temporary timetabling changes will see no direct train service run between London and Eastbourne and Ore between 9am and 4pm on weekdays, Southern Rail has announced.
Starting from Monday, September 14, the changes will remain in place for approximately four weeks while a speed restriction is in place between Ore, Eastbourne and London.
Instead, services will operate between Haywards Heath and Eastbourne and between Eastbourne and Ore, with passengers needing to change trains at either Haywards Heath or Eastbourne to complete their journey.
After 4pm, the usual two trains per hour service between London Victoria, Eastbourne and Ore will resume, beginning with the 4:24pm departure from London Victoria.

The usual half-hourly service between Ore, Eastbourne and London Victoria will operate during peak times in the morning (before 9am), and weekend services will operate to normal timetable.
Southern has advised passengers travelling between London Bridge and St Leonard’s Warrior Square or Hastings to use Southeastern services via London Bridge instead for the quickest option.
Passengers can do this at no additional cost and can also use tickets on alternative Southern services between London Victoria and Haywards Heath.
Southern apologised for any disruption caused, explaining that ‘hot and dry weather over the summer has affected track conditions’.
A spokesperson for Network Rail and Southern said: "We understand the impact that temporary speed restrictions can have on people's journeys, and we're doing everything we can to address this as quickly as possible.
“We'll update passengers when we have more information to share and will continue to post the latest travel advice on southernrailway.com."
