Southern has said that train services could be delayed or altered this morning (Wednesday, October 28).

The company said on its X profile at 4am: “Due to overrun engineering works between Three Bridges and Gatwick Airport services are expected to be delayed or altered.”

Southern said: “Southern services are expected to be impacted by this incident.

“Repairs are ongoing, and we are waiting for further information on the expected delays this will cause to your journey.
