Upcoming carriageway works on Chichester road postponed
Upcoming carriageway works on a Chichester road have been postponed, West Sussex Highways has confirmed.
The authority confirmed work, set to take place on Basin Road from 8pm to 6am on September 14 to September 22, has been postponed.
Highways teams would have removed a layer of the carriageway road surface and then created a new layer of material on the road.
A spokesperson for West Sussex Highways stated it would update residents it is has revised dates for the closure.

Nearby, Old Market Avenue will be closed from September 14 until September 22 for new electrical connection works.
The road will be closed for 24 hours a day between the junctions with South Street and South Pallant while the works take place.
Access to Old Market Avenue will maintained for emergency services, residents and pedestrians.
