West Sussex A-road set to close for traffic light inspection
A major road through Pulborough will be closed for several hours next week, while traffic lights are inspected.
Part of A29 Church Hill Road will shut from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Monday, September 14.
“This is to allow a routine inspection of the traffic lights and will affect the stretch of road between the A283 junction and New Place Road,” West Sussex County Council advised.
"Please follow the signed diversion route during this time and allow more time to travel.”

The county council said its team will inspect the lights, poles, wiring and electrical connections to ensure they are working and operating safely.
Emergency vehicles will still be able to use the road, but all other traffic will need to follow the signed diversion route.
The council has advised drivers to allow extra time for their journeys.
The A29 at Church Hill has been subject to restrictions since a landslip forced the road to close in December 2022.
It remained closed for several months before reopening to single-lane traffic controlled by temporary traffic lights in April 2023, with concrete blocks installed along both sides of the road.
The disruption was prolonged by legal issues involving the county council and owners of land beside the embankment.
The road has also been subject to further closures and works this year, including a closure in April for essential safety work and a further closure in August for lighting maintenance.
The latest closure is due to last six hours.
